Crackled This is a very old style where the vase is submerged in a tub of water while it is still attached to the end of the pipe. The result is the outer layer of the glass shatters, or crackles. The process is repeated several times to get the right effect. After the piece is cooled the surface must be carefully polished to remove any sharp edges. |
